This project is complete. It looks fantastic. Time will tell whether it was completely successful. It wasn't done exactly as discussed within this article as another player arrived to the game late. But it was completed for $7700.

@Gene D. - Resolution with the rock quarry was paramount to the INTEREST OF THE CITY. Those participants in the resolution should be viewed with the utmost esteem. The gallantry of their measures is thus far to be entirely realized, but will nonetheless be appropriately accredited with the enactment of time as the elucidation filter’s its way through the people, much to the acute disappointment and annoyance of the few drama queens or persons who feels it necessary to try and create more drama in regards to a situation/argument/debate in which they are an outside observer.
Gene D - get over it. It's done. Get a life!

@ Gene D. - Exactly what mistakes has this BOA made? Mistakes? Or simply doing what you Gene D. don't like?
I find it telling that when faced with facts, and challenged by calling into question the statements made by Mr. Gene D., by asking for an explanation, justification, or proof of that to which he professes, there suddenly becomes a noticeable lacking in a particular quality. It’s often been said • Many profess to despise what secretly they hunger after. Is thaT the problem, Gene D.

@Gene D. – is the part that bothers you the recognition and inability of doing such work yourself?
...................Or is it The fact this work by Mayor Megee saved the city of Greenwood tens of thousands of dollars??
The work is complete. The problem is solved.
Get over it!
Get a life Gene D.
Do something Constructive for once.

@Gene D. - Apparently no one thinks a thing of it except you. Does the D behind the Gene stand for Depressant or Demoralized or Despondent? That sure is the way your posting(s) come across.
Do you really think Lee's Summit is the only phone book?
Has Gene D. ever laid a patch of concrete? Ever held an elected office? How about asphalt, ever work any? Surely there must be a PHD in the medical field to account for the acuity of such comments. Ever bid any construction jobs? Banking or financial? There must be a trove of economic plaques earned from higher education institutions. In other words, to say publicly that you do not approve of someone or something is one thing but, to bring forth the credentials, qualifications and testimonials to back up your charges, is quite another.
AS to the money you refer to "think" of what Greenwood would, could have had - were it not for the three you mention and their actions

I regret that any question about the integrity of The GreenSummit Dispatch editor and publisher resulted from their unselfish support of the Lee’s Summit Photo Walk through advertising it, reporting on it and making a donation. All of the businesses who donated to the photo walk should be commended for supporting a new event, especially considering how frequently most of them are approached for donations. I invite everyone to visit www.leessummitphotowalk.org to see the complete list.

I feel compelled to take all of credit for organizing and executing the photo contest to refute Mark’s criticism. I originated the ideas for the photo walk and the contest. I wrote the rules and arranged for an impartial, anonymous judge who is a professional photographer. The judge received the photographs with no identifying information attached, aside from the category in which they were competing. The Custom Framers and Blue Heron Design provided the prizes in the category judging. They did not participate in the judging. I even wrote the article reporting on the contest results.

I personally insisted that Brynn-Marie and Reese be eligible for the photo contest, because there was no chance that the judging could be biased toward them or any other participant. No employee or family member of the three businesses who had anything to do with organizing and executing the photo walk and the contest competed in the contest. They were Influential Expression Consulting (my company), Writing on the Wall Grafix and Mingle.

Thank you for your concern, Mark. It's a valid criticism. We sponsored the contest by providing prizes and advertisement for the event. Nothing more. The photos were submitted anonymously and judged by a professional photographer who we do not know. I suggested that they not even participate. The organizers insisted that they remain eligible for prizes and devised a judging method that removed any preponderance of impropriety.
