Greenwood student spotlighted in PTA Reflections program

Greenwood Elementary 3rd grader, Danielle Cobbett, was awarded first place in her age division and the category of photography for the Missouri PTA Reflections program. The theme this year was “Together We Can.” The student showcase was held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Independence, Missouri, on Saturday, April 29, 2011.

Danielle's title of her photograph is "Support The World."
There are 6 categories including literature, musical compositions, dance choreography, film video, visual arts and photography. There are four age categories. A huge congratulations goes out to all the winners including Bela Gard, 1st grader, at Greenwood Elementary, in the visual arts category.
Greenwood Elementary is honored to have 2 winners with 2010 being the first time to have a GWE student take first place. Danielle’s photograph was the cover of the Missouri Parent Teacher Association Contact magazine’s May 2011 issue. Any student interested in the arts is encouraged to enter the Reflections program. More information can be obtained from your school’s PTA. Next years theme is “Diversity means…”
