Lee’s Summit’s Got Talent Announces Open Auditions, deadline April 15

Auditions for Lee’s Summit’s Got Talent; Lee’s Summit’s first talent competition, will be held April 28th and 29th at Lee’s Summit West High School Performing Arts Center. This premier talent competition is open to all ages and all talent, giving performers the opportunity to showcase their unique talents on stage. This includes singers, dancers, magicians, jugglers, musicians, comedians, animal acts and any category in between. Performers will be competing to perform in the show on June 16th and to win a $5,000 cash prize.

Potential contestants can download an entry form and obtain additional audition information at www.lscares.org. The deadline for audition entry forms is April 15th. “This is first time anything like this has been produced in Lee’s Summit. Our expectation is that we will see lots of acts auditioning and within that, a wide range of talented individuals and groups all vying for the $5,000 cash prize,” says Anne Aubuchon, Event Chairman.

Celebrity judges for the finale of Lee’s Summit’s Got Talent include famous jazz singer Ida McBeth, professional dancer Chris Moss, and Vegas performer Matt Lewis. Lee’s Summit’s Got Talent will be held on June 16th at Lee’s Summit High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets will go on sale May 1st. Lee’s Summit’s Got Talent is a fundraiser for Lee’s Summit CARES, a local nonprofit organization that for over 25 years has grown and developed into a thriving and important community based task force working to direct, support and actively coordinate efforts of the community to significantly reduce substance abuse, promote youth safety and thereby improve the health and well-being of the community.
