Mayor Randy Rhoads recently presented the Lee’s Summit Reflections of Character Award to Jackson Hankins during an assembly at Underwood Elementary School. Jackson, an Underwood student, won the award in the areas of responsibility and perseverance was one of 12 award winners honored at the Mayor’s Character Breakfast, held in January. Jackson was unable to attend the breakfast due to a surgery, so Mayor Rhoads presented the award to him in front of all students and staff members at the school. In the photo, Jackson is pictured with Mayor Rhoads and Roby Little, executive director of Lee’s Summit CARES, sponsoring organization for the Reflections of Character Award.
