Lee’s Summit High School Tiger Smart will participate in “Freeze Out” from 6 to 10 p.m. Dec. 10 at Lee’s Summit High School, 400 SE Blue Parkway.

Students will stay outside the school for these four hours, collecting clothing, especially coats and winter apparel, to be donated to Lee’s Summit Social Services. Community members are encouraged to drop off their donations at the school’s Building A south entrance, near the tiger head.

During Freeze Out, the students are only allowed to wear clothes which are donated.

The Smart organization is offered at all three R-7 high schools. The groups provide alcohol-, tobacco- and drug-free activities that focus on character development for members of each school’s organization as well as for all students in the school.
