Burn Ban lifted in Lee’s Summit for recreational fire permits

The Lee’s Summit Fire Department has lifted the burn ban for the City of Lee’s Summit and will begin issuing Recreational/Cooking Fire Permits as long as conditions continue to improve. The fire department wants to remind residents that the burning of leaves, brush, and trash is always prohibited.
City of Lee’s Summit residents wanting to have an open recreational/cooking fire should contact the Lee’s Summit Fire Department at (816) 969-1300 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, to obtain a permit.
