PumpkinPalooza: Local Church Offers a Free, Safe Halloween Alternative
Posted by GSDispatch Editor in by Local Churches
Kids, parents, grandparents, and friends will have a blast at PumpkinPalooza on Wednesday, October 27, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Lee’s Summit Community Church, 1440 S.W. Jefferson St., Lee’s Summit. Free candy, indoor and outdoor games, and tons of snacks make PumpkinPalooza a super Halloween alternative. The event is free and open to the public.
Activities and games focus on children from preschool through 6th grade, and include bounce houses, carnival-style games, face painting, and free candy at each station. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes.
“We want to create a safe, fun family atmosphere open to the community to enjoy an evening together as a family,” said Kevin Hartman, director of Children’s Ministry. This is the fourth year LSCC has hosted PumpkinPalooza, and Kevin said each year it gets a little bigger. “Last year the place was packed, but we always have room for more. Everyone is welcome.”
Lee’s Summit Community Church is a non-denominational congregation. Learn more at www.lscckc.org.
