Lee’s Summit Fire Department to host Recruiting Open Houses, Oct. 13 & 16

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO—The Lee’s Summit Fire Department will host two Recruiting Open Houses to provide an opportunity for anyone that may be interested in a career in emergency services to ask questions and fill out an application. Applicants that successfully complete the testing and interview process will be placed on an eligibility list for firefighter positions to be filled throughout the upcoming year.
TWO DATES:
October 13, 2010 – 6 PM to 9PM
October 16, 2010 - 9 AM to 1PM
WHERE:
Lee’s Summit Fire Department, 207 SE Douglas St., Lee’s Summit, MO
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of application and in good physical condition as generally outlined in NFPA 1582 – “Medical Requirements for Firefighters”. Minimum education qualifications are high school diploma or certificate of equivalency. Firefighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must also have valid state drivers license,
