Raintree Crime Alert: Thefts from vehicles
Posted by GSDispatch Editor in by Raintree Lake POA
Raintree is seeing an increase in thefts from vehicles. Officer Glover, Community Interaction Officer, and Officer Oberweather have e-mailed me to alert residents and to pass along these safety tips.
- Remove valuables from your vehicle and lock the doors/roll up the windows (GPS units, iPods, laptops, etc are “hot items” right now).
- Don’t leave vehicles running unattended.
- Park in the garage, if possible. Otherwise, park in a well-lit area.
- Leave exterior lights on at your home after dark (especially lights over the driveway).
- Call 911 when you hear or see any suspicious activity.
Every theft from vehicle report in July involved a vehicle that was NOT locked.
