Lee’s Summit Mayor Randy Rhoads’ annual State of the City Address is Sep. 9

Mayor Rhoads will present the “State of the City” address to the community during the September 9 Work Session of the Lee’s Summit City Council. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green Street, Lee’s Summit.
The Work Session will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a presentation on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. There will be a short break and then Mayor Rhoads will deliver his first State of the City speech.
The mayor’s address is an opportunity to update the community about the progress and condition of the City and is required by City Charter to be presented during the first quarter of the City’s fiscal year.
This event is open to the public.
If you are unable to attend, Mayor Rhoads’ speech will be broadcast live on the City’s government channel available on Comcast, channel 7; Time Warner Cable, channel 2; and AT&T U-verse, channel 99. City Council meetings may also be viewed on the Internet at cityofls.net.
