“A Thyme for Everything” Ribbon Cutting and Relocation Celebration

A Thyme For Everything is a locally owned culinary shop located in Downtown Lee’s Summit — perfectly suited for full-blown foodies, hobbyist chefs, and even backyard BBQ-ers. Originally designated to solely provide retail shopping, owner Jet Pabst determined a need for culinary classes to complete the offerings in her store. So, the many choices of product became compressed into the front portion of her store to borrow space for a makeshift teaching kitchen in the back.
Friday, July 9th marked the ribbon-cutting for her new store which is located directly next-door to the one you know and love. Pabst has increased space for her products and a well-designed teaching kitchen conducive to running classes while not interfering with those browsing the front of the store. Pabst ran a contest offering a $25 gift certificate to her store or classes for the best kitchen name submitted by friends and customers. The new kitchen will be aptly named “Thyme in the Kitchen” and was submitted by Janece McGilll from Raymore.
The kitchen will boast trendy concrete counter-tops and is being finished this week by locally owned Kitchen, Bath and Basement specialists Edgewood Construction.
Next Saturday, July 17th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be the “Relocation Celebration” for the new space. Come help celebrate the new location. Samples, treats, drawings, demos, cookbook signings and fun for all! If you can’t swing by Saturday, drop in the following week to check out the store and support local businesses located in Downtown Lee’s Summit.
