LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – A lot of politicians talk about veterans’ issues. Will Kraus, with nearly 20 years of military experience, clearly understands the challenges they face and how to address them.
Representative Will Kraus invites Eastern Jackson County veterans to a free lunch on July 10. The lunch will begin at 1 p.m. at Summit Park, 451 NW Blue Parkway in Lee’s Summit.
“These are tough economic times for families across Missouri but especially for many of the men and women who have served our nation,” Kraus said. “As state senator, I will continue to fight in Jefferson City for the needs of our veterans.”
Kraus joined the U.S. Army 18 years ago as a mechanized infantryman. He continued his service in the Army National Guard while earning a degree from Central Missouri State University. In April 1998, he joined F Company 158th Aviation, U.S. Army Reserve as a second lieutenant. He has flown numerous missions in combat zones and now serves as a captain and the Battalion S4, supply officer.
In 2003 Will Kraus lead over 100 soldiers into Iraq as the Convey Commander. I know the hardships our soldiers have been through,” Kraus said. “I look forward to meeting our local veterans for lunch on July 10 and discussing the issues that matter most to them.”
