Route 50 Traffic at Bynum Road in Lone Jack Shifts to Mainline

Posted by GSDispatch Editor in by MoDOT, GSD Online

Route 50 traffic will shift back to the main highway lanes and off the ramps at Bynum Road in Lone Jack began today, mid-morning Wednesday, May 5.

Both eastbound and westbound Route 50 traffic will still be reduced to one lane each direction through October for a two-mile segment in Lone Jack to accommodate turning traffic at the crossovers. Speed limits will be reduced to 45 miles per hour in each direction in the construction zone. Barriers will separate directional traffic and protect the construction area.

Eastbound travelers must use the ramps at Route 150 to go southbound on Route 150. All eastbound traffic seeking to go northbound on Bynum Road must use the crossover a half mile east of Bynum/150 and return on westbound Route 50. Westbound Route 50 travelers seeking to go south on Route 150 must use the crossover a half mile west of Bynum Road and return on eastbound Route 50 to the ramp to southbound Route 150.
