Benefit for Tammy Smith to be held June 26 at Lee’s Summit VFW

A benefit in support of Tammy Smith, a long-time Lee’s Summit resident and resource aide at Lee’s Summit Elementary School, will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight June 26 at the VFW Post 5789, located at 329 SE Douglas St. in downtown Lee’s Summit. Tammy has been recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and the event will help Tammy and her family with expenses.
The Benefit for Tammy Smith will include a silent auction and performances by Saddlebroke Band and Big Fat Delicious Band as well as food. Local businesses and individuals have made donations to help with the event. Donations will also be accepted at the benefit.
