Lee’s Summit middle school Students of the Month, February

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their February Students of the Month. Students of the month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.
Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Abby Fossey and David Schmitt. Abby is the daughter of Pam Fossey and Danny Fossey. At BCMS, Abby is involved in volleyball and was the eighth-grade spelling bee winner. Away from school, Abby enjoys playing on a Parks and Recreation volleyball team. David is the son of Jill and Gary Schmitt. At BCMS, David is involved in concert choir, concert orchestra and honor choir. Away from school, David enjoys his church youth group, Boy Scouts and hopes to become an Eagle Scout later this year. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.
Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Sarah Hooper and Kyle Overlease. Sarah is the daughter of Sandy and Dennis Hooper. At PLMS, Sarah is involved in basketball, track, choir and National Junior Honor Society. Away from school, Sarah enjoys playing soccer and hopes to someday play soccer in college. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Kyle is the son of Jennifer Overlease and the late Jeff Overlease. At PLMS, Kyle is involved in football. Away from school, Kyle enjoys baseball and Boy Scouts. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.
Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Anusha Kodidhi and Ryan Brenneke. Anusha is the daughter of Swarna and Sankar Kodidhi. At SLMS, Anusha is involved in academic team, Math Counts, basketball and National Junior Honor Society. Away from school, Anusha enjoys volunteer work and playing the violin. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Ryan is the son of Kim and Glenn Brenneke. At SLMS, Ryan is involved in Science Olympiad and National Junior Honor Society. Away from school, Ryan enjoys Boy Scouts and volunteer work. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.
