Records Say Driver Failed To Appear In Court
RAYMORE, Mo. — A local school bus driver was involved in some drama while the students were still on board.
It was just after school let out Friday, when a driver of a school bus with students from Raymore-Peculiar High School was pulled over by police who said the driver was speeding near Lucy Webb Road and Brook Parkway.
“My daughter and I were standing in the kitchen and noticed two cop cars and a bus,” said parent Kristin Owens. “We didn’t think very much of it at first, (but) they were there a good 15 to 20 minutes.”
Police said the problem was what they found when they ran the bus driver’s name through the records system. [...]
