Lees Summit Student Completes Space Shots Program

Matt Bowles, Lees Summit MO, son of Ronald and Martha Bowles, graduated from the Investigate Space, Solar System program this summer at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. Matt is a sixth grader at Summit Point Elementary School, Lees Summit, this fall.
Developed by Cosmosphere staff, Space Shots is a 2 ½ day residential camp for students entering grades 6-9. Students fly a simulated shuttle mission and use many other astronaut training simulators. They observe the night sky and enjoy shows in the IMAX® Theatre, the Justice Planetarium and Dr. Goddard’s Lab. They also explore the Hall of Space Museum.
