Route 150 at Route 71 to Close This Weekend Aug. 15-17 for Bridge Removal
Posted by GSDispatch Editor in by MoDOT, GSD Online
Both eastbound and westbound Route 150 will close at midnight Saturday, August 15, for removal of the old northbound Route 71 bridge. Route 150 will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, August 17.
The closure will detour eastbound traffic to the southbound ramp to Route 71, then to 155th Street, then east over the bridge to the northbound outer road of northbound Route 71 to eastbound Route 150. Westbound traffic will detour to the outer road of northbound Route 71 to the 140th Street bridge, then to the southbound Route 71 outer road to westbound Route 150.
The bridge removal is the next step in reconstructing the Route 150 and Route 71 interchange into a single-point, urban interchange. Last week Route 71 traffic was shifted to the new southbound bridge over Route 150 to allow removal of the old northbound bridge.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2010.
