Construction on Ward Road

The City of Lee’s Summit closed the southbound lanes of Ward Road between County Line and M-150 for approximately nine months, starting November 4th, 2008. Northbound traffic was closed from Drake to County Line Road, beginning June 11th, 2009 for approximately one month. Otherwise northbound traffic will remain open during construction. Local access will be provided at all times. A detour will be posted using M-150, Regatta Drive, Raintree Drive and County Line Road. This construction is required for the Kensington Farms development and will be focused on the west side of Ward Road. The improvements include curb and gutter, enclosed storm sewer, a multi-use trail and intersection turn lanes.
