FWI Community Recycling Opens in Grandview

Foundation Workshop, Inc. (FWI) recently opened a clean, modern and safe recycling center to serve Southern Jackson communities and businesses.
FWI Community Recycling offers a new twist to the recycling industry by employing persons with developmental disabilities. Visitors will be greeted and helped by friendly and knowledgeable FWI employees and supervisory staff.
Accepted items include cardboard, chip board, aluminum cans and foil, tin cans, magazines, white paper, mixed paper, which includes items such as junk mail, phone books and construction paper, books, newspaper, plastic #1 and #2, batteries, ink cartridges, clothing and shoes. Items not accepted include glass of any kind, hazardous materials, and yard or organic waste.
In addition to accepting household drop-offs, they also run industrial and commercial pick-up routes Mon-Fri.
FWI Community Recycling is located at 4280 Main St. in Grandview, MO and operates from 8am-3pm daily, excluding Wednesdays and Sundays.
